Apple Inc (NASDAQ:AAPL) Embarks On 100 Percent Clean Energy To Power Its Global Facilities


The stock of Apple Inc (NASDAQ:AAPL) closed at $173.25 gaining 1.88% in yesterday’s trading session. This iPhone maker has today moved ahead to disclose that its business is run on 100 percent renewable energy sources. Tim Cook, the company’s Chief Executive Officer while speaking about their latest development said they were hitting significant milestones and that the future looked bright for them.

In was on Monday when the business Guru outlined that nine more of its manufacturing partners had come out clearly to make a pledge that they would be committing themselves to powering all of their ‘Apple production’ with clean energy.

It is clear that will scale up the number of such supplier commitments to 23 though on the same note it is crucial to state that the Company uses hundreds in terms of the major suppliers. Cook made the assertion that his Company won’t be stopping on its quest to enhance lives and make the world a better place. He took great pride in the great steps the company had managed to make so far.

Cook opined, “We’re going to keep pushing the boundaries of what is possible with the materials in our products, the way we recycle them, our facilities and our work with suppliers to establish new creative and forward-looking sources of renewable energy, because we know the future depends on it.”

The Company said that it was looking forward to working closely with partners since that was the ideal way for it to move faster in line with the establishment of renewable energy projects around the globe. At this point in time, it has managed to set up almost 25 operational renewable energy projects worldwide and that means we are talking about 626 megawatts (MW) of generation capacity.

An official working with the company but who wanted his identity kept anonymous because the matte was not yet official disclosed that they were currently planning to set up 15 more facilities. It is beyond any reasonable cloud of doubt that the company is doing all within its means to ensure that it greens its operations.
